Leah & Samuel's Rustic Vineyard Wedding

when i hear ‘vineyard wedding’ i think of a field with lots of vines and a romantic sunset

So when Leah & Samuel said they were getting married at Creekside Estate just outside of St. Catherines we were really excited. When they said they were getting married in the barrel cellar we were even more excited! What a cool and unique experience to not only use this room as a prop for a few nice portraits but to have your entire ceremony here with your family and friends sitting by your side. Admittedly it was a bit challenging given how dark the room was (it is a cellar after all), and the ceilings were too high to use a flash to bounce, but thanks to some new cameras and a very cool noise reduction feature in Lightroom, everything worked out.

Leah got ready with her family at an Air BnB right beside the winery (so convenient!) while Sam was offsite with his circle. They opted not to do a first look which made their ceremony entrance so much more special when Leah walked in, escorted by her two young sons. It was an emotional moment for everyone!

Fret not, we still got to live our lots of vines (but hold the romantic sunset because it was overcast) fantasy during when taking their portraits in the actual vineyard later in the day and it was so much fun. Both Leah & Samuel were so giddy, you could feel the love and excitement emanating off of them! The evening continued on the winery’s covered patio in the best way possible: with delicious food, speeches, and dancing into the summer night.
